Navigating the Gray Zone:

Sophisticated Problems (and Solutions) for Sophisticated HR Professionals!

Julie McKee, JD

FineLine HR Consulting, LLC

September 10, 2019 | 11:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m | Grand Street Cafe

The most challenging HR issues are often found in the gray area – somewhere between absolute right and absolute wrong.  In this presentation, Julie McKee, labor and employment attorney, will highlight the most common gray areas that lurk in HR and best practices for analyzing the issues.  Julie will address complex and evolving HR issues within the arena of mental health initiatives, background checks, and the legalization of marijuana.  We’ll also uncover the hidden timebombs that exist in routine matters of discrimination, retaliation and harassment.  The discussion will also cover recent developments that impact the gray zone including new Department of Labor Opinion letters, new rulings by the National Labor Relations Board, and the latest in recently passed Federal and state workplace laws.  You do not want to miss Julie’s timely and informative presentation!
