Onboarding a new employee begins when they say ‘yes” – and is much more than paperwork!  This session will explore ways to maximize the opportunity to help your new employees settle in to their new roles and provide some unique ways to engage them in their new organization. In this session, you'll learn how to: identify the opportunities for engagement prior to start; identify the 3 types of learning a new employee needs to have (technical, cultural, & political); and identify the critical role of the leader in this process and how to engage them with their new hire.

Molly Weaver is an innovative talent acquisition strategist with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations design and implement candidate-focused experiences that attract top talent. With a specialty in the healthcare industry earned during her tenure as the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition at Children's Mercy in Kansas City, Weaver launched Sunflower Talent Strategies to help organizations navigate the new world of work by enhancing their recruiting processes and creating a pipeline to produce the talent they need for the future.
