Artificial Intelligence & Ethics in HR Tech

Brad Mandacina, Vice President, Director of HR Technology
Lockton Companies

June 11, 2019 | 11:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m

In his session, Artificial intelligence and ethics in HR tech, Brad Mandacina, VP and Director of HR Tech for Lockton Benefit Group, discusses what’s hot and what’s concerning in the HR Tech space in 2019. As enterprise-level solutions advance their technology and up-and-comers force innovation, the prospects for employers to utilize intelligent software in HR technology are becoming more abundant. In addition, Brad will tackle the big question on employers’ minds: will allowing machines to share in HR decisions mean they control the opportunities and livelihood of your workforce? Join us in this session as we discuss:

  • New functionality in your HR tech.
  • Data privacy in an “AI” world.
  • Ethics and management of unintended consequences.

About our speaker. As Lockton’s director of HR Tech, Brad  Mandacina supports his clients with selection and implementation of the optimal mix of HR technology and business process outsourcing to minimize resources dedicated to their non-core business operations such as employee benefits, payroll or talent management. Employers can call on Brad’s more than a dozen years of experience in human resources and technology to help automate the business processes providing the foundation of their business. As businesses seek to “do more with less,” Brad and his team offer insight into technology direction, vendor management and assistance with return-on-investment analysis. HR Tech serves clients ranging in size from 48 employees to 48,000 employees; the current average client is around 4,000 employees. Areas of specialization include benefits administration, mid-market BPO, payroll and tax, vendor selection, and implementation. Brad has achieved and maintains numerous industry designations through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (CEBS). He was named a top benefit technology innovator by Employee Benefit Adviser.
